Financial Obstacles in Polish Family Businesses

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of conducted study is to recognize how three selected financial obstacles – access to external financing, taxes and cash blockages – influence the Polish family businesses. Main hypothesis assumed that access to capital is not the most important financial obstacle to the development of family enterprises. Verification of assumed hypothesis presented in this study was performed on the grounds of the analysis of primary research. A representative sample of 1084 Polish family enterprises was chosen. The time range of the study were years 2008–2010.
