Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to identify regional key conditions for innovative activities of microenterprises. The study was conducted on a representative sample of 382 microenterprises, of which 78.5% were classified as family enterprises. The main research method was the diagnostic survey method, which was used to carry out an original questionnaire. Based on the results, the assessment targets of effectiveness didn’t differ significantly between innovative and non innovative enterprises. Suporting in gaining external capital for investment and promoting innovative attitudes among staff and employees were key objectives of the highest success rates for innovative activity The most useful and key activities were found to be: training about available sources of innovative activity financing, for example: loan funds or investment loans and programs to support business start-up (vouchers for business start-ups, or a start-off). From the point of view innovative enterprises development, local authorities should pay attention on key activities and key obejctives.
