Summary/Abstract: The populations of the developed countries are becoming older. The effects of age on people abilities are numerous and elderly users will need to handle of computer interface not just at work but for access to banking services, social contact, purchasing, entertainment, health services. It is important that interface designs make software accessible to older adults. Principles of interface design: screen layout, error prevention, interaction design must be adopted for elderly. Numerous firms provides a set of best practices to address accessibility for interface developers. We have seen recently a touch screen revolution and this is welcome news for the older user. Ubiquitos computing is today a reality. A survey on interface for older people was conducted in SAN and outcomes are presented in this paper.
