Summary/Abstract: In the article we classify households that can benefit from social care because of low wages. Furthermore we try to identify factors influencing tendency to benefit from social care. An assumption is that income is not the only factor that may have an impact on the subjective view of the financial situation of the household. It seems to be that a household, which has the same level of income and possesses less durable goods, is in worse situation. Thus we analyze households’ durables possession and some psychological factors in the research. The usage of classification trees gives an opportunity to identify variables that distinguish households that can benefit from social care.
