Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Research. The purposes of the article are to analyse the problems of the verbal action of the actor on the stage and to research the way to overcome the recitation and falsehoods, using the author's stage experience, based on the system of P. M. Yershov views. Methodology. The methodology of the papers consists in the application of analytical, art history, functional, systemic methods to study the ways of verbal action in the process of the actor‘s stage motions. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of the article is to use the author‘s personal experience of the playing at the various Ukrainian theatrical scenes to determine the efficiency of the various techniques and methods of acting stage speech. Conclusions. The way of the action always affects the intonation, because words, phrases are pronounced aloud and for a certain purpose. Its influence is greater and more active if the one who speaks, seeks to achieve his/her goals. It can remain unnoticed only in cases of sluggish, indefinite pronunciation. For example, an uninterested reading aloud to someone else's text means the lack of the vision of the text. Therefore the intonations will be determined by the logical modeling of the phrase. However, it is unlikely to be relief in this case. Consequently, the development of «intonation skills» includes the training of the imagination – the ability to see figuratively what you are talking about; the development of the diction words and phrases, and the skills to use the methods of the verbal action. They are three levels or three interacting parts of the entire working st ructure. Their defect leads to the defect of the verbal action skills, which inevitably spoil the intonation colors of the actor‘s speech on the stage.
