Summary/Abstract: Contemporary culture has been defined as “instant culture”. It is symbolized by immediacy in everyday life. Instant culturedetermines a selection of an educational concept of children and adolescents. According to such an assumption, an attempt has been made to examine to what extent parents of children aged 2–6 are interested in accelerated pedagogy. The main objective was an analysis of child’s area of life dominated by the increasingly rapid pace of life. Using surveys causes and motives that induce parents to focus on the accelerated development of children have been analysed. The results have revealed that parents to a large extent pursue the concept of accelerated pedagogy. It has been evident on the linguistic, artistic and sports level. In the work there have been used some symptomatic opinions of parents proving that we have to deal with parents’ orientation on accelerated pedagogy. All the considerations have been completed with a reflection on the consequences of such an educational concept. Optimistic motives of accelerated pedagogy used by parents have been juxtaposed with threats for the development of children resulting from accelerated pedagogy.
