Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to evaluate the level of motor skills in children aged 3–6 years. The research determined the level of force, power, agility, speed and overall physical fitness in preschool children. The research of the motor skills level in preschool children was conducted in Kindergarten No. 2 in Skierniewice. The study involved 50 children. Each of the trial was prejudiced by verbal instruction and demonstration. The study was carried out on the basis of Wroclaw Functionality Test. The analysis of the results of strenght test measured by the throw distance of a medicine ball frombehind the head (Strenght Test) by preschool children showed statistically significant differences between 4 and 5 year olds (t = -4.26, p <0,001) and between 5 and 6 year olds (t = -5.43, p <0,001). Analysis of the force test values measured by the standing long jump distance showed statistically significant differences between 4 and 5 year olds (U = 11,0; Z = -2.93; p <0,01). The analysis of the speed test results measured by the 20 meters running time among the surveyed children (Speed Test) indicated strong statistical trend between 4 and 5 year olds in favor of the older children (p <0.1). The assessment of the agility test conducted on the basis of “sgility-course swinging” (agility test) indicates a statistically significant difference between 5 and 6 year olds (U = 7.5, Z = 2.72; p <0.01) and the relationship of a statistical trend between 4 and 5 year olds (t = 1.96, p <0.05 and p <0.1). Conclusions: 1. The level of physical fitness of preschool children didn’t depends on gender. 2. The values of motor skills depend on age. 3. The level of physical fitness decreases with age. 4. There are differences in the values of motor skills, form one of the low level to make the level of very good.
