Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the moral analysis of the contemporary capitalism from the perspective of utilitarian and Kantian ethics, as well as from the perspective of the Rawls’s theory of justice. Compatibility of business structural elements with the utility principle, categorical imperative and theory of justice, is being assessed. Explicit adequacy between utilitarianism and capitalistic principles is presented, while such adequacy with other ethical theories is being inquired. Individual as well as corporative motivations for economic conduct on the market, socially responsible business and stakeholder theory of modern corporations, as well as economic freedom concept, are being analyzed in the framework of the paper.
