Summary/Abstract: The goal of theoretical analysis is to provide only a touch of similarities and differences between similar concepts connected with communication on different levels – international, intercultural, and cross-cultural. Though defined, some of these concept are used as similar ones. In other cases – researchers include in them different content from the accepted one which represent another accompanying problem. In specific studies different content is not presented in the theoretical part as a type of concept operationalization but is evident from the nature of data interpretation. In Bulgarian psychology the analysis become more complicated because of the use of the concepts under consideration in Bulgarian and in foreign languages. We have specific Bulgarian words for international and cross-cultural communication but also the same terms are used in English version written in Cyrillic alphabet. The talk represents the understandings of different authors in concern with the communication and defend the classic view of the necessity of concept operationalization by researchers to avoid misunderstandings of data interpretation. The theoretical matter is compounded even more by the use of different understanding of another term – culture, in data interpretation. That is why different definition of culture are discussed. The report discusses the possibilities for refining concepts connected with communication in and in between different cultures.
