Summary/Abstract: The nuclear family model supported by social acceptance has long been in force. The ongoing processes of demographic, social and economic changes have made a significant breakthrough in the traditional approach. Nowadays it has become the norm of co-occurrence of various forms of close relationships. Questions arise. What are the consequences of these changes? What does this mean for the concept of ‘family’? Is the family losing its value? Is there a future for the family? However, there is no univocal answer. The views of researchers are diverse. Social life, however, is unpredictable. And family? The family has to adapt.
