Summary/Abstract: Considering the frequent changes in the administrative partition in our country, the need for the administrative geography increases in each passing day. Despite the need that the administrative analysis of each province should be employed separately, there are a few studies conducted on this subject. The first study in this field was conducted by Prof.Dr. Besim DARKOT (1961) titled “Thoughts on the Administrative Partition of Turkey”. The populations and functional properties of the settlements have changed by the time. This reality causes the studies on this subject to be diversified. The number of academicians studying on administrative geography have recently increased to a considerable extent. However, the leading academician with the highest number of studies on this subject is Mr. Ali Özçağlar. Therefore, this study was needed in order to briefly introduce the research studies of Prof. Dr. Ali Özçağlar on administrative geography. The administrative geography studies of Özçağlar are comprised of books, articles, and dissertations, as well as numerous postgraduate and doctoral theses he advised.
