Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the study is to solve the problem of determining the best sub-contractor among those which sew the orders of the worldwide known brands in the clothing sector through multi criteria decision making (MCDM) models. Hence two models are utilised for the determination of the best sub-contractor. The decision-making criteria are determined through utilising the preliminary interviews with three suppliers in the sector and the literature review on supplier selection. By this means original criteria are brought to the literature as the criteria for supplier selection. As the criteria of decision problem have hierarchic structure the AHP and VIKOR models are utilised. In the decision problem there are 6 main-criteria, 18 sub-criteria and 4 alternatives. While AHP model gives weight to the criteria, it is influenced by extreme values.
