Summary/Abstract: Organizations expect from their employees to display an impression of emotion in according tot heir predetermined objectives. Emotional effort that employees exhibit into to show emotions that fit these objectives called “emotional labor”. Some negative consequences can arise when the real feelings of employee and the emotion employee exhibited are not compatible. One of these results and perhaps the most negative is burnout. The relationship between emotional labor and burnout has been explored since the 1980s. Today, with the increase in the transition to the service sector, studies on this subject have increased. However, studies are still not considered sufficient to explain the relationship. In this context, this study aims to reveal the relationship between emotional labor and burnout.
