Summary/Abstract: This study evaluates the effect of autocratic and participatory leadership on organizational citizenship behavior. The sample of the study consisted of 280 managers and 130 employees selected by random sampling who work in non-governmental organizations. Organizational citizenship behavior scale was used to measure the citizenship behavior of the employees. Leadership Opinion Questionnaire was used to determine the leadership behavior of managers. The scale consists of two sub-dimensions: “Autocratic leadership” and “Democratic leadership”. In order to determine the relationships between the scales, regression analysis was performed to determine how Pearson correlation analysis and autocratic leadership and democratic leadership affect organizational citizenship. In addition, t-test and one-way variance analysis were performed between the demographic variables and the scales. The autocratic leadership levels of the managers and the organizational citizenship scale of the employees were; negative, meaningful and intermediate level with the dimension of identification with the enterprise, positive, meaningful and intermediate level with altruism dimension to the colleagues, positive, meaningful and medium level with conscientiousness dimension, negative, meaningful and intermediate level and the sources of business It was found that there was a negative, meaningful and moderate relationship with protection size. The levels of democratic leadership of the managers and the employees' organizational citizenship scale sub-dimensions; positive, meaningful and high level with the dimension of identification with the enterprise, positive, meaningful and low level with altruism dimension to the colleagues, positive, meaningful and moderate level with the dimension of conscientiousness, positive, meaningful and intermediate level with inter-employee compliance dimension (r = 0.57, p <0.05) and the size of the protection of enterprise resources were found to be positive, significant and high level relationship. It has been suggested that the autocratic leadership levels of the managers have a significant effect on the organizational citizenship behavior of the employees. This relationship is negative and moderate between two variables. The levels of democratic leadership of managers have a significant impact on the organizational citizenship behavior of employees. This relationship is positive and moderate between two variables.
