Summary/Abstract: Purpose – In this study, the moderator role of work-life balance and age in the relationship between perceived organizational support and happiness at work was investigated. Happiness at work was included in the research model in two dimensions, as hedonic and eudaimonic happiness. Design/methodology/approach – The research was conducted on 412 employees working in a metropolitan municipality and its subsidiaries. The obtained data were used to empirically test the theoretical model developed in the study. Hypotheses were tested by hierarchical regression analysis method. Findings – According to the results of the research, there is a significant relationship between perceived organizational support, hedonic and eudaimonic happiness. In addition, it has been determined that work-life balance does not have a moderator role in the relationship between perceived organizational support and happiness at work. Age has been found to have a moderator role in the relationship between perceived organizational support and negative emotions. Discussion – The study reveals the moderator role of age and work-life balance in the relationship between perceived organizational support and happiness at work. The research results contribute to the organizational behavior literature.
