Summary/Abstract: Electronic media constitute the essential element of cultural changes and an integral part of today’sworld. The speed of technology development is problematic, as it is frequently leaving the medialiteracy of pedagogues, parents and young generation behind. The stage of early education is notso much about learning how to use devices — because this is what children are rather good at —but more about spreading knowledge and experiences concerning the skilful use of resources thatthose devices give access to. Excessive staying in the virtual world, especially when it comes tosmall children, causes permanent and irreversible changes to the brain and, consequently, transforms the perception of reality. Although this problem is crucial and requires fast and radical actions, it seems to be constantly belittled by both parents and kindergarten as well as early educationteachers. And, after all, it is them who bear the main responsibility for developing good habits ofusing media in a child.
