Summary/Abstract: The pace and rhythm of the mental development of the child depends on a number of factors biological and environmental. Out of the biological, the first plan out the innate properties of the bodyand central nervous system, transmitted genetically as well as a result of the pregnancy of themother. The environmental factors the most important seems to be the impact of family, school,peer group and the media. The family home is the environment in which through the relations ischnild’s personality, his moral and social attitudes. Proper care of parents, produced love and understanding have a beneficial effect on the development of the child, even if he is born with severedevelopmental deficits. Family environment can also unfortunately have a negative impact, and bytheir impact lead to abnormal development. It might be the wrong style of education, separationfrom the mother, as well as the negative attitude of parents such as alcoholism or drug addiction.In the case when a child is born with disabilities important is quick and systematic expert help.Parents must quickly get reinforcement in the form of support to add the strength and willingnessto cooperate. Then even the smallest progress child drive them to even greater effort, give satisfaction and the belief that what they do with such dedication and at the cost of many sacrifices, itmakes sense and brings results. Similar support also need teachers. They expect to ensure suchconditions to their hard work to deliver results. Without this hard about motivation and full commitment. In the end, the most affected will be the child who does not receive effective assistance
