Summary/Abstract: While discussing the examples of the phenomenon of “Silicone Valley”, the popular café area in downtown Belgrade, and of a cinematic trilogy by Radivoje Raša Andrić, the paper aims to explore representations of urban life in contemporary Serbia in the field of mass-media and cinema, and, conversely, how popular culture has influenced the ways, habits, and rituals of modern urban life in Serbia.
