Summary/Abstract: In societies and environments that experienced a fundamental destruction of values on which they were based, as well as the break-up of functioning of internal social and political organisation, state and cultural institutions, each discussion on the place and direction of development of a culture becomes very difficult and it must take into consideration these exceptional circumstances. The lack of proper and well organised political organisations in these crisis societies leads to the direct dependence of other organisational forms in the realm of society on changeable, uncertain and painful political circumstances, decisions, conflicts and unsolved strategies. This characteristic of transition in other societies is strongly present in the field of culture. From television to publishing, our culture predominantly entails populist forms which uncritically and deliberately produce political extremism, lack of tolerance, pornography and relativi-sation while in the long term there is no planned politics of cultural development and support for authentic artistic projects.
