Summary/Abstract: Civilization is built through Truth and Good. Truth allows culture to be focused on what is real, not on ideas or projects, called utopias, that are detached from reality. Good triggered love, which was supposed to be the force that directed man to full development. Without the Truth, the Good could have turned out to be an apparent good and an apparent goal. Without the Good, the Truth could be powerless. That is why in the Latin civilization there is such a strong emphasis on the cooperation of these two main values. The good not only expresses encouragement to gain it, but also shows the scale of responsibility not to succumb to evil. Truth requires education in order to direct oneself flawlessly towards the real good. When man ceases to be the subject of civilization, various forms of civilization of death appear, which either at all or in part strive to eliminate those who are considered enemies or defenceless. Through wars and antidemographic policy (abortion and euthanasia are the symbols of this policy), the 20th century became the age of the civilization of death. Thanks to the civilization of love, we save humanity, remembering that Good without Truth cannot be defended, and Truth without Good will turn out to be sterile. Truth and Good cannot remain in isolation or opposition. They must always complement each other, especially when they are to be the basis of civilization, not against man, but for man.
