This new challenge includes also the questioning of dominant sociological paradigm. In the second part author is dealing with the stratification structure and institutional order as a condition needed for democratic transition. As the integral part of that process sociology should provide a help in the search for new civil identity exemplary to rising civil society in Serbia.
