POSSIBLE CAUSES FOR DEPOPULATION IN AP VOIVODINA

Summary/Abstract: My main intention in this paper is to support a comprehensive approach to the demographic phenomenon. Particular to my analysis is the demographic phenomenon in Voivodina. I believe it is only by this method that one can comprehend the essence of this phenomenon and come to a conclusion as to why there is such a prolonged and dramaticaly worsened demographic crisis in the area of AP Voivodina. I believe that most of the previous research was complited in a simplistic and one/sided method, namely by using an exclusively economic paradigm. Therefore, the crucial question of the crisis of the society and the development of the society has never been fully explained. As a result of this adequate measures were not taken to resolve the ever/present problem. Consequently, this paper attempts to examine the wholistic complexity of the demographic problem in AP Voivodina. It also points out the various interactive causes of longterm, negative demografic movement in the Province. In conclusion, I find that there are nine possible componential causes of this depopulation: civiliying (philosophical. ethical and spiritual), socio/cultural, socio/economic, political, juridical, medical, educational, historical, and particulary the local and individual factors which influence the society in general. Furthermore, to find possible solutions and causes of the depopulation it is necessary to do extensive empirical research. Only then can a real inderstanding and a complex comprehension of this phenomena be reached.
