Summary/Abstract: It seems that there is still a search of a new method in teaching Arabic in the Islamic world. Teaching Arabic to the Arabs as well as to the non-Arabs cannot be considered successful, and the absence of a method that suits best to the purpose and of the teaching materials are the main reasons of this. Although there is an improvement in teaching Arabic in Turkey, there is still a need to find a better method. It is observed that teachers of Arabic contribute to this improvement by using new methods. To find a better method, the importance of using current experiences must be admitted. Based on the author’s research experience in Jordan during the year of 2001-2002, this article tries to present the method of teaching Arabic in Jordanian Universities.
