Summary/Abstract: This article presents, for the first time in the media sciences, a border situation in journalistic thinking. It shows the specificity of this thinking that is difficult to notice. On the one hand, its maturity, on the other, infantilism and even stupidity. The author lists several nuanced cases of journalism approaching stupidity. Qualitative structural and phenomenological methods are outlined here the mechanisms of functioning and the threat of contemporary journalism. The conclusion allows us to see the practical benefits of this type of analysis in broadly understood media business and journalism.
