Summary/Abstract: In 1856 which was The Ottoman State period, began railway works and also continued after the War of Independence and at the age of Republic of Turkey. The station buildings and the railway station buildings in many regions of Turkey are no relationship with the traditional architecture and they are different style characteristics from each other. Our country has developed in historical process about political, economic, social and cultural. Artifacts that could be characteristic symbols of the periods were made in this time. Some of these artifacts are train stations. The station and the railway stations which are historical symbol was painted by artists. They selected by the General Directorate of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The project was named “The Stations are Painting”. This study was conducted with the information obtained by interview method with the General Directorate of TCDD and the General Directorate of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and literature review method. The study also included seventy five works of art which are obtained at the result of this project accepted on July 24, 2009 with a protocol.
