Summary/Abstract: The new demographic trends of aging and changing population structure, generate higher medical and social demands of the coming „new“ generations of older people. Studied some fundamental risk factors that are relevant to the emergence and development of premature aging in late ontogenesis . It is most often determined by chronic degenerative pathology and with the participation of other factors (including social, biological, environmental, economic development of premature aging) . Analyzed the forms of aging (physiological, pathological, intermediate form). Our observations testify to the widespread development of endemic degenerative diseases and illustrate the qualitative and quantitative differences in the distribution of these etc. diseases of civilization. Facts convincingly draw the attention of the engineering to the important issues of health and socio-economic situation of the large number of disabled adults and older people living alone . They demonstrate the vital importance of the sociomedical commitment and unity and for an adequate behavior and adaptation of elderly people to change not only the body, but in the family and social environment . The author reviews some actual medico-social problems of the old people, like the result of aging of population – physiological and pathological. Тhe problems needs a very deep understanding and support from the whole society. Special attention is paid to the need of looking closer into the problems of the bio-social and psychological status of the older people. Consequently examined are some of the basic socio-geriatric problems related to chronical pathology, as well as the necessity of special care of ill individuals.
