Short Description
The International Annual for History and Philosophy of Medicine "Asklepios" was published first in the early 70 s of the XX century as a Bulgarian -Soviet enterprise in the field of history of medicine. It has been restored in 1992 as a project of BSHM and is published annually since then. From 2006 it is official edition of BAHPM. The Journal's contents is peer-reviewed and edited by Editorial and International Advisory Board. The main sections include "History of medicine"; "General theory and methodology of medicine"; "Philosophy of medicine"; "Social medicine and public health". It has been introduced recently a new section, "Fore-stage" with articles of outstanding international scholars in the field invited upon editorial consideration. The Journal publishes also Book Reviews, Chronicle, Anniversaries.
