Summary/Abstract: The paper draws attention to a rare iconographic scheme, attested in Roman sculpture from Bulgaria. More specifically, it discusses votive reliefs from Madara, District Shumen and Gorotsvet, District Razgrad, featuring Hercules with the adversaries he encounters during his Twelve Labours.
