Summary/Abstract: The paper draws attention to scenes on the Roman votive reliefs from the territory of Bulgaria, where both immortal gods and their mortal worshipers are depicted. Analysis focuses on the monuments from Philippopolis, Dionysopolis, Belashtitsa, Banichan, Izvor and Belopolyane. In Greek and Roman art such scenes are associated with the representation of the epiphany of gods. The depictions of the listed Roman sculptural monuments from Bulgaria correspond as iconography to these scenes and are worth understanding from this perspective.
