Summary/Abstract: The subject of research are framing borders in the novel Pop Ćira i pop Spira by Stevan Sremac. Considering that the problem of the frames includes, specifically, the question of the limits of narrative, research is based on conclusions of classic and cognitive narratology as analytical tools for understanding and interpreting Sremac’s novel. In addition, the framing process as a dynamic category requires implementation of the immersion theory and virtual narrative. Those theories presuppose that the text is seen as a window to the ontological complete, coherent world, revived by mental simulation.
