Summary/Abstract: This article pays attention to the issue of the music audio album “Ray Lema – Prof. Stefanov and the Bulgarian Voices of the Pirin” that was released in year 1992 as an expression of the local-global relation, and the achieved poly-stylistics and poly-genre character of the composing approaches of Ray Lema by mixing Bulgarian and African intoning. Individual songs are analyzed in order to distinguish the main directions of transformation of the Bulgarian folklore tradition and degree of fusion of heterogeneous intonations. Within the context of the analyzed problem the issue of the direction for integrating “Pirin” Ensemble into the world culture flow are studied, too, and the main focus is put on the trend related to the phenomenon of World Music and its particular manifestation in the audio album analyzed, demonstrating the artistic conceptions while approaching the Bulgarian music folklore, of a musician of Congo who lives and works in France.
