Summary/Abstract: Our society and our Western civilization based on the protection of the principles of freedom, equality before the law and God, legitimacy and legality, the rule of law, justice, tolerance, and secularity are more and more confronted (in the area of internal order and safety) with external impacts and security risks arising from globalization. The post-modern and post-fact crisis of values places new challenges on law enforcement bodies and other elements of the security community with the need for a scientific vision of the equilibrium between restriction of freedom in the name of the protection of fundamental rights. Legal science, criminal policy, security science, and politics must be dealt with more intensively in the future.
