History and Present of Insurance Fraud

Summary/Abstract: The theme of this treatise are professional insurance fraud from the perspective of past and present. It brings the history of insurance fraud, their characteristics and the definition in the law and beyond, examines the causes and effects of insurance fraud to the insurance company and its clients. The paper includes a list of ways you can fight with insurance fraud and also look at modern methods and prevention technologies. An integral part of this type of contribution is also criminal law offenses related to insurance fraud. Content are also recommendations for preventive action of insurers against insurance fraud. Work provides insight on current statistics of insurance fraud in the Czech Republic.
