Summary/Abstract: Due to the importance of modern science, the appearance of the notion of Chaos in ancient Greek cosmogonies and philosophical thought and the evolution of its meaning has been studied in this paper. In addition, a comparison has been made with the meaning of this important notion in modern Theory of Chaos.
