Summary/Abstract: The word “harmony” is a noun. It originates from Greek, but is accepted in many other languages. Its meaning is not strictly defined. In general, it could be understood as a pleasant combination of different elements. In music, it is a pleasant combination of tones and rhythms, in the visual arts it is a harmony of colors and proportions. In interpersonal relations, it is, similar to concord, an agreement that is pleasant to all participants. Harmony, like any ideal, has its divine personification in the myth of ancient Greeks, the goddess named Harmonia. In this paper, we have explored the symbolism of harmony, hoping to get closer to its meaning.
