Summary/Abstract: Our contribution presents the results of a survey administered to pupils from three high schools in Craiova – the Voltaire High School, the Traian Vuia High School and the Fratii Buzesti National College – regarding their perception on the importance of extracurricular activities they take part in. This analysis is included in a wider research performed within the project TERAPI Territoires apprenants, des protocoles au service des apprenants. We have reached the conclusion that the surveyed pupils fail to understand the importance and the utility of extracurricular activities in their training and that schools should insist more on explaining the formative role of such activities and of the many actors with a formative role (others than school) who could be involved in the complete education of pupils.
