Summary/Abstract: This article presents the lines of nowadays world and Lithuanian reality. This short review allows to justify the statement about principles of well-balanced mindset and behaviour, correspondent to contemporary inconsistent world, and their adaptation in space of artistic education. Without more detailed explanation, the view of education of young generation is seen from the position of metatheoretical sociology. Few fundamental principles - prolegomena, addressed to artistic education strategy (or philosophy), are formulated and justified. These are: principle of openness; adequate dialogue with the world; communitarism and privacy; spirituality and materiality; differentiation and integration; modulism and normativism of culture; principle of ethnic (national) culture and supranationalism, nation and its state. These principles may be estimated as the "load" for the wider contemplations about modern conceptions, consolidating artistic education. However, the complete system of principles of sociological contemplation regarding education was not the point of this article. The main objective was to call attention to the challenge of globalization, its "negative tail" and response - consolidation of new mindset. The artistic education of the young generation can not stay in the background of these affairs. Otherwise it would not fulfil the fundamental, sublimating mission.
