Summary/Abstract: As part of an extensive study, the fragment illustrates, through the atmosphere at the university, doubled by the one from the Union of Writers, the relations of the intellectuals with the power: the intellectual who wants to affirm himself is in a position to face the jungle of the "literary life". Therefore, the refusal of complicity circles gives the narrator a perpetual coercion, amplified by a negative identity, which requires a normative power.
