Summary/Abstract: The lyric song followed human life in all situations, such as: during work, play, joy, weddings and various informal gatherings, but also in cases of sadness and grief. It has been embraced and cultivated by all ages, social levels, and gender. Therefore, lyric as a gender is among the most widespread forms of our oral literature creativity. Collected and published materials by Albanian and foreign collectors show of a presence of the song in general, but in particular of the lyric song in all territories where Albanians live, with a corresponding tradition of singing based on preliminary tradition, but also enriching and supplementing it consistently in thematic and motive aspects, as well as in variants and types of oral poetry. Lyric songs as a poetic and syncretic form and expression, aim to elaborate a circle of social life motifs, expressing feelings and artistic efforts of many creators of these songs. These creators expressed their inner world through verses, addressing with lot of feelings, various occurrences and issues that were closely related to human life and its activities, with the nature and its phenomena, the resistance and sacrifices, with different braveries and tragic, to intimate moments full of love. All forms of lyric poetry are also considered by a high artistic value with an equally high level of semantic expression. Textual structure of these songs transmits an abundant poetic message by using epithets, metaphors, comparisons, hyperbole, etc., which are characteristic of a whole expressive system of oral literary tradition, which was enriched by both its creators and oral carriers. In addition to the opulent poetic language characteristic for lyrical songs remain also improvisations, formularization, repetition, etc., which reinforce the originality of oral literary creativity. For this presentation, I want to emphasize only research work in this field published by the Institute of Albanology, hence we can say that all the features and values of lyrical songs have been studied from various aspects and some of these studies are published in the scientific journal "Albanologycal researches-Folklore and Ethnology," as the annual publication of the Institute of Albanology; then in a series of volumes with folkloric materials of respective lyric genres, as: various oral songs, games and children's songs, lullabies, love songs, wedding songs and Lamentation, lamentation by men and elegy. Each of these volumes has a preface, where these lyric genres were analytically studied. However, the oral lyrics has been motivational for researchers, thus several monographic studies have been published, such as: children's folk poetry, Albanian love folk lyricism, the Poetics of comparison, Poetics of Albanian folk lyrics, overlaps of oral literature and written poetry for children, etc.
