Summary/Abstract: The care and socio-emotional actions of families are of great importance in satisfying the social and mental needs of children. Well-functioning families strive to create various positive situations that should meet such needs as: security of love, belonging, kindness, social contact, support and acceptance. In families with alcohol problems, there is often parental insensitivity to the needs of children. Unfavorable situations in interactions between family members, mainly parents, result in a lack or incompleteness in satisfying the psychosocial needs of children in dysfunctional families with alcohol problems.
