Summary/Abstract: Institutional social care of the elderly is one of the highest social care activities of the state.The basis of this is the nursing home. Functioning of DPS residents provides the opportunity to meetthe emotional and social needs of the elderly. Care institutions also provide a variety of activities forthe residents. The majority of older people living in social care homes actively participate in recreational,social, sports and rehabilitation activities.
