Summary/Abstract: Folklore as a popular heritage that identifies us as a nation is facing difficulties in its transfer from generation to generation. This is becoming evident even though we have a technological evolution. Technology offers endless possibilities for the preservation of national values, only when the folklore scholar wants and insists to submit originality. In this paper we will try to bring into focus the cases of folklore usages which are included in the media, clips or other forms of audiovisual which attempt to bring modern elements alongside traditional ones.Television as a tool for transfer of folklore offers good opportunities. These are recorded in the transmission of a series of folk festivals, which disclose traditional values, but at the moment they are not being controlled, they can be a threat to cultural heritage and with prospectively effects. Why do we say that it should be checked? Emigration and population migration have made pilgrimages of folklore. This is also worth to enrichment of folklore, but at the same time increases the risk of losing the regional authenticity, being mixed with modern pieces that cannot be folklore. In fact there is a cultural heritage upon which it is based the identity, our own existence, which must be cultivated by making maximum effort to preserve the original values and avoid assimilation.Television can be a very valuable tool, but we have to know the limits of its use. In a society that is not very developed, in a society where the absorption skill level is not up to the mark, the role of television takes a huge load, but it also presents a risk in terms of commercial character and it affects the existence of programs that pose a threat to identification of folklore authentic values.
