Tărtăria-Gura Luncii. The Early Medieval Fortification Cutting the Prehistorical Tell

Summary/Abstract: Older examinations of the tell in Tărtăria-Gura Luncii have not noticed the fact that the valley that cut through the tell on its southern side is artificial; new investigations started in 2010 have shown (during the campaigns of 2014–2016) that the tell has been remodelled during the early Middle Ages, maybe during the big Tatar Invasion, by the communities of those times.
