Summary/Abstract: Self-esteem develops in parallel with the individual development. There are a variety of factors that affect self-esteem develops from birth. Some of them are age, gender, family, social relations and selfperception. In this study, the relationship between the self-esteem of 3rd and 4th grade students and age, gender, number of siblings, marital status of his / her family, educational status of his mother and educational status of his father were examined. 110 children studying in the 3rd and 4th grade in 2017-2018 education year in Palandöken province in Erzurum participated in the study. The data were obtained with the 'Personal Data Form' prepared by the researcher and 'Coopersmith Self-Esteem' scale. As a result of the research, there was no meaningful relationship between self esteem and age and gender factors of 8-11 years old students. There was a meaningful difference in terms of number of siblings, number of siblings, marital status of parents, education level of their mother and educational status of their fathers.
