Summary/Abstract: The issue of the article moves aspects of safety in the mountains. The aim of the study is to analyze the accident in the Beskid Wyspowy in 2007 – 2010 and show the dynamic changes occurring in the accident on the area in question. The analysis covered a period of four years. The materials from which the information was drawn and based on which this analysis was the documentation of accidents conducted by the Group Podhalańska Mountain Rescue, covering the range of its activities Beskid Wyspowy. Analysis of the above has been extended interview questionnaire with a lifeguard serving in Podhalanska Mountain Rescue Group. Number of accidents and rescue operations increases. Causes of accidents are different from the increasing number of tourists, through lack of experience to harsh weather conditions.
