Summary/Abstract: The following paper is a short overview on the reality of Socialist urban development and housing in Romania. The aspects treated refer to the legal terms in which Romanian cities grew, influenced by massive industrialization and rural-urban migration. We have dealt with some of the most important laws that guided mass housing, along with some of their political terms and social consequences.
