Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to identify marketing innovations which include social media and mobile technology that regional and local authorities should use in their operations. Using literature review and comparative analysis, the author presents some social media and mobile marketing activities, that are used by some cities and institutions at Szczecinek and its neighbourhood. These presented marketing innovations could be useful also for other regional and local authorities in their communication politics.
