Summary/Abstract: This article is aimed to bridge the gap by examining the relationship between innovation culture, innovativeness and entrepreneurial orientation based on empirical research conducted in 97 enterprises located in Poland. The purpose of the research was to answer the question: whether results obtained by enterprises concerning their innovation culture differ depending on their level of innovativeness? The results of empirical studies confirmed the differences in the assessment of innovation culture factors between three groups of enterprises: better, similar and worse than their competitors in area of innovation. Organizations better than their competitors are characterized by the most innovation friendly culture, whereas organizations worse than their competitors in terms of innovation – the least supporting innovation culture. Innovation culture appears to be an integral part of innovation and a variable that depends also on entrepreneurial orientation.
