Summary/Abstract: The paper illustrates the development of both the innovations and the sources of financing family businesses in Poland. The authors present the influencing factors for innovation business and the approach to business changes related to the introduction of innovations. In addition, it shows key differences in the way of thinking about innovation in family businesses. The article mentions the sources of financing for innovative activities in family businesses, both those which are based on private capital and those based on funding from EU funds.
