Summary/Abstract: The State Fire Service was established to fight with natural disasters and other security threats, including those on water areas, and the Main School of Fire Service (MSFS) educates the personnel of the State Fire Service. Fire fighters should have many skills to take part in rescue operations in all conditions, including water areas. Special equipment is needed to train or improve basic and specialized rescue skills, including swimming and water rescue. The article presents the role of logistics in emergency services, preparation of MSFS cadets to operate on waters and logistics part in it. The research with the use of an interview technique in order to obtain an opinion was conducted among the cadets and teaching staff of MSFS.
